We have a new position open for a Software Developer with at least 3 years experience, with a focus on Visual Basic .NET – Experience working in an Agile / RAD development methodology team environment is a plus.
Job Duties
- The main focus of this job will be
- Coding support for new product features.
- Working with Test team to identify and correct defects in the application.
- Reporting regular status of assigned tasks.
- Recording and tracking development tasks in Rally Task and Defect Tracking System.
- Managing code file versions in Tortoise SVN Source Control System.
- Coding support for new product features.
- Secondary job duties performed as required will be
- Write test plans, cases, and conditions for manual testing of the application
- Assist with automation of functional/regression testing
- Develop supporting functionality for in-house Professional Services Group
- Write test plans, cases, and conditions for manual testing of the application
Required Skills:
- At least 3 years of commercial software development experience
- Object oriented programming in VB.NET
- Familiarity with ASP.NET 2.0
- Familiarity with Visual Studio 2005 as an Authoring IDE and debugging environment
- Understanding of programming in a client / server environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to meet reasonable deadlines in a quality-oriented, rapid iteration environment.
- Some experience as a Lead Programmer or experience in technical team management
- Some experience in technical development project management
Desirable:
- C# Experience
- Agile project processes such as Scrum
- Computer Science Degree preferred
- SQL Server Experience - Stored Procedures, Query Tuning and CLR (Common Language Runtime)
- XML DOM Programming
