Product Marketing Manager

Position/Title: Product Marketing Manager
Reports to: David Smith – Vice President, Product Management
Location: Seattle, WA
Effective: June 1, 2008
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsibility for development and launch of messaging strategy for Zynchros.com pharmacy
program management application.
- Conduct market analysis and develop product packaging and pricing models for
Zynchros.com editions.
- Understand the needs of the Sales team and provide tools to describe, present, and position
the benefits of Zynchros.com.
- Work with Marcom team to develop and execute customer-facing materials for print, web,
and other media.
Duties:
- Create the overall message for Zynchros.com – what is the best way to position it?
- Understand the competitive market for formulary management applications and the place of Zynchros.com within it.
- Ensure that all stakeholders (such as customers and the sales team) are informed about product updates and feature launches.
- Conduct market research, write communications, and do release planning with engineering, product management, and Sales.
- Coordinate all the customer- and advertiser-facing materials, and prep them to go live.
- Understand the needs of Sales to communicate around the product, and fulfill them.
- Work with legal and PR to make sure everything is ready for the launch.
Skills/Experience Required:
- Ideal candidate will have four plus years experience in product marketing, direct marketing, or marketing program management for technology products.
- Passion for analyzing products, customers and market dynamics.
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated capacity for developing and understanding strategy.
- Strong aptitude for determining the optimal way to position products in the market.
- Experience with Software-as-a-Service products and understanding of the health care / health insurance market strong pluses.
Educational Requirements:
- BA/BS degree, MBA a plus
